Yamato Movie Seeks 10,000 Fans to Help With Mosaic

Your face could be part of a giant Yamato mosaic.
The final episode of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 is airing September 29. In order to help promote the event, a fan participation event has been planned that hopes to recruit the help of 10,000 new fans.
The "Let's Make Some Huge Yamato Artwork!" campaign started September 20 and seeks the help of fans to create a humungous mozaic art piece. Celebrating the Yamato's arrival at the far-off planet of Iscandar, this campaign will register 10,000 people as new Yamato "crew members." Each crew member is asked to upload a photo, be it of themselves, their family members, their pets, or whatever they want, though Yamato cosplay is encouraged. From these images, a giant Yamato will be constructed.
The finished piece will be featured in a 160 cm long newspaper piece that will be published in certain regions, as well as displayed at some events.
Registration itself begins October 2 at 5PM JST, and ends Octobber 25. If your photo is selected, you'll receive an email with a special ID code that lets you search the mosaic for your picture.
