Replica Sword from Record of Lodoss War Given Away as Raffle Prize

Record of Lodoss War is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, and amongst the special items being released in commemoration is the special limited edition, digitally remastered BD boxset of the classic OVA series. By itself, the boxset is already pretty cool—in addition to the newly remastered video, it also includes a 196-page booklet with full color illustrations with a special cover and BD packaging drawn by character designer Nobuteru Yuki (Escaflowne, X (movie)).

But, one lucky customer will get an even sweeter bonus.

All customers buying the boxset from Japanese retailer Toranoana will also be entered in a raffle to win a Soul Crusher sword. Literally, an actual sword.

Customers who buy the boxset either in-store or by mail-order will receive a raffle ticket, which needs to be returned to Toranoana on a postcard. The raffle tickets will be open between November 29 and December 22; valid entries need to be postmarked before December 31, 2013.
