Celebrate Hanami With McDonalds' Pink-Tinted Hamburger Buns

Every year from the end of March to early May, Japanese clamor for the best spots to view the cherry blossoms (hanami) and enjoy the arrival of spring. The McDonald's fast-food chain wants to add its own offerings to the festivities with a pink hanami burger.

Beginning on March 21, McDonald's will offer its spring menu, including the "Sakura Teritama" burger. The burger stacks pork and egg patties covered in teriyaki ginger sauce and sakura daikon radish mayonnaise on a slightly fragrant cherry blossom-colored bun.

Stores will also offer regular "Teritama," "Teritama with cheese," and "Chicken teritama" sandwiches to round out its spring menu.
