Takara Tomy Adds Haikyu!! Figures to Its 'Players' Figure Series

Figure and toy manufacturer Takara Tomy is adding characters from this season's anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga series Haikyu!! to its Players figure line. Rivals turned teammates Shōyō Hinata and Tobio Kageyama are the first characters to be added.
Each is 1/8-scale in size and costs 7,020 yen (~US$71).
The figures come with unique parts including individual volleyballs and bird-versions of the characters.
The figures are expected to go on sale on July 28 with more characters to be released in the future. The media distribution service Crunchyroll is streaming the Haikyu!! anime series as it airs in Japan. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for North American digital and home video release.
