Voice Actors Sho Hayami, Subaru Kimura, More to Star in Rap Battle Project

12 different voice actors will be lending their talents to a rap battle project titled "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-," which will be released in four installments beginning this October. The voice actors will be rapping in the personas of original characters designed by Idea Factory and Otomate, with a scenario written by Yūichirō Momose (My First Girlfriend is a Gal, Fate/Zero).
The 12 voice actors will be divided into four groups of three that will each release one CD, for a total of four CDs released over three week intervals. The CDs will be priced at 1,852 yen (about US$17).
First up is the album Buster Bros!!! by the Ikebukuro Division, which will be made up of Subaru Kimura (Doraemon's Gian), Haruki Ishiya (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans' Chad Chadan), and Kōhei Amasaki (Takeshi Hoshino in Mob Psycho 100). It will include 3 rap tracks and a drama CD, and it is slated for October 25.
Second is Mad Trigger Crew by the Yokohama Division: Shintarō Asanuma (My First Girlfriend is a Gal's Junichi Hashiba), Shin'ichirō Kamio (Ensemble Stars!' Kurō Kiryū), and Wataru Komada. It will launch on November 11.
Next is Matenrou by the Shinjuku Division: Shō Hayami (Bleach's Sōsuke Aizen), Ryūichi Kijima (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Mitsuki), and Kent Itō (The Idolm@ster SideM's Michio HaFling Posse by the Shibuya Division, made up of Yusuke Shirai (Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!'s Io Naruko), Sōma Saitō (Haikyu!!'s Tadashi Yamaguchi), and Yukihiro Nozuyama, is slated for December 27.
A live stage event will take place at the "Animate Girls Festival 2017" on November 4 in Ikebukuro.
