Pokémon's Bill Joins the Dark Side at Jump Festa

Voice actor Masaya Onosaka is probably best known in Western fandom as the original voice for Vash the Stampede in Trigun and Jin Shirato in Persona 3. In the Pokémon fandom though, Onosaka is voice of Masaki (Bill), the original creator of the Pokémon PC storage system within the video game franchise. The character appears briefly in the original anime series where he's holed up in a lighthouse.
Fans will be surprised to see that Bill has reemerged, or at least his voice actor has, as one the gang's biggest foes. Onosaka made an appearance at this year's Jump Festa event over the weekend in a cosplay as Sakaki (Giovanni) in is business suit from Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Onosaka was part of the stage cast for the "Pokémon Rainbow Rocket Group Stage" event on Friday.
The entire event gathered many of anime fandom's favorite franchises together in one place, along with staff and voice actors. Big announcements included developments for Hollywood's live-action One Piece adaptation, cast for the upcoming live-action Gintama sequel, the opening song for The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.'s second season, teaser images for Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto's next work, the upcoming Yu-Yu Hakusho OVA, the cast for the Tokyo Ghoul:re anime, details on the Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs anime, the next arc of Food Wars!, and more.
