Nichijou's Kaori Sadohara, Yoshihisa Kawahara Show Off Wedding Photos

Voice actors Kaori Sadohara and Yoshihisa Kawahara officially married in December (with to the help of a Detective Conan marriage registration form). However, the couple just had their ceremony on Sunday. While some people in Japan still choose traditional Shinto marriage ceremonies, many others opt for Western-inspired fairy-tale weddings with Christian overtones. Judging from photos Kawahara posted on Twitter, it appears he and his wife went the latter route.
Kawahara said the wedding took place without any problems. The pair met while working on the Nichijou - My Ordinary Life anime together. Sadohara voiced Annaka, and Kawahara voiced Kōjirō Sasahara in the series. Although Sadohara said she had not thought Kawahara might become her husband when they were working on the anime, fate intervened. Fittingly, Nichijou manga creator Keiichi Arawi provided welcome boards for the wedding.
Etrian Odyssey game character designer Yuji Himukai also provided a welcome board. The ceremony's wedding cake apparently represents the Yggdrasil Tree from the Etrian Odyssey game series, and the tree's song played during the ceremony. Kawahara is a fan of the series, and he has also voiced characters in two of the franchise's games.
Fellow voice actors Ai Sasaki, Hiroki Gotō, Yūta Odagaki, Mitsuki Saiga, and Arisa Shida all attended the wedding and posted pictures of the happy couple and festivities.
In addition to her work on Nichijou, Sadohara's anime roles include Date A Live's Tamae Okamine, Inari Kon Kon's Chika Marutamachi, and Isuca's Tamako. Kawahara has voiced characters such as Kämpfer's Mikihito Higashida, NANA's Yasushi Takagi, and Tamako Market's Tomio Shimizu.
