Love and Lies Voice Actor Shinnosuke Tachibana Welcomes Baby

Shinnosuke Tachibana can add "dad" to his growing list of roles. The Love and Lies and DYNAMIC CHORD voice actor announced on his blog on Tuesday that he is the new father to a baby girl. He wrote that both the child and mother Ao Takahashi are in good health and described his daughter as very cute and his "princess".
He also wrote that he'd like to add the title of "Ikumen Ikupapa" to his repertoire. "Ikumen" is a term used to describe a growing portion of men who actively participate in raising the kids. Tachibana is joining in to be recognized as an ikumen, too. He wrote he's having fun bathing his daughter each day and that he thinks the voice actor industry should have an Ikumen Ikupapa category.
Takahashi also announced her daughter's birth on her own blog. She plans to return to work eventually but, like many new moms, is currently battling lack of sleep as she takes care of her new baby.
Tachibana also plans to gradually return to work. He's scheduled to voice Aby Ssinia in the Boarding School Juliet anime season in October followed by Yakumo Koizumi in the Meiji Tokyo Renka television anime in January.
The couple married on New Year's Day last year.
