Tezuka Productions to Auction Original Astro Boy Mosaic as NFT

Tezuka Productions has announced plans to auction several artworks based on Tezuka's original works as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). The project is titled "From the Fragments of Tezuka Osamu", and the first NFT work to be auctioned is a digital mosaic made up of Osamu Tezuka's original manga manuscripts.
According to the project's website, the Astro Boy image in the mosaic is made up of over 6,000 fragments cut from roughly 4,000 sheets of black and white manuscripts from Tezuka's Astro Boy manga.
The background, on the other hand, is comprised of 840 colored manuscripts including cover art, manga scenes, and hard-to-obtain frontispieces.
The auction site and date of sale will be announced at a later date.
