Last year, U-TREASURE released engagement and wedding rings inspired by the Spear of Longinus from Evangelion. In retrospect, the symbolism there might not have been ideal for a marriage, given that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time describes the Spear of Longinus as representing despair.
But no fear! Its counterpart, the Spear of Cassius, represents hope. If you want to create a real happy ending this time instead of resetting the world, U-TREASURE is now giving you the opportunity to buy Spear of Cassius wedding rings too.
The rings are encircled with delicate metalwork inspired by the Spear of Cassius. It is possible for customers to have their initials and preferred date engraved onto their rings. There are two versions of the rings available: an 18 Karat pink-gold version with a platinum base, costing 132,000 yen (US$1,162), or a silver version costing 10,650 yen (US$93). They are available for order in Japan from the physical U-TREASURE store in Ikebukuro or via the online shop until November 25.
