Coming Soon in Japan

  • A New Tenchi Muyo movie is in the works, to be called "Golden Wing". A new character, to be named Haruna (voiced by Kikuko Inoue), will be introduced.

  • A new TV series based on the "I Wanna Use Magic (Mahou Tsukai Tai)" OAV's will be making its way onto Japanese TV soon. Although no date is announced, it will probably start in Summer.

  • Shin Hakkenden is a new TV series based on the same old story (Legend of the Eight Dogs) as Pioneer's "The Hakkenden", but set in the distant future. Character designs are by Atsuko Ishida.

  • Saiyuuki, the story that gave birth to anime like Alakazam the Great, Starvengers, and Dragon Ball, is getting the anime treatment again, this time in a 2-part OAV series. The difference? This time, it will be done SHOUJO style! Part 1 goes on sale in April.

  • Another 3-part OAV series based on a popular game will also be released in April: Twin Bee Paradise.

  • The six-part OAV series Melty Lancer will be released next month after a year-long delay.
