With the war mostly behind the crew of the Soyokaze as well as the Raalgon royalty, the action shifts to a series of "sidestories" which explore some of the principal characters in more depth. These next tapes focus more specifically on so called "character portraits", although they do link the previous "Exceptional Episode" with the final "Here to Eternity."
So far, we've learned very little about Karl Bjorn Andressen other than he's popular with the ladies and gets the job done when he's called upon to fight. Now, we learn that he too has a past, when the Marines are called upon to evaluate the newest battlesuit for the UPSF. More capable than their existing hammers, this is a technological leap forward which will revolutionize warfare. Still, Andressen knows a bit more about them than anyone else does ...
