SSJ4Kain has sent Planet Namek a brief e-mail discussion between himself and Gen Fukanaga pertaining to Funimation's recent acquisitions, Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Blue Gender.

Quoting from the Planet Namek Website:
Here's the original e-mail sent to Gen:

1. For Yū Yū Hakusho and Blue Gender, will you be using voice actors from Dragon Ball Z?

2. Will you be getting any of the Movies/Specials of any of the 2 series?

3. Will the original dialog be kept or will it be changed like Dragon Ball Z's?

Here's Gen's response:

1. Only if we feel it is a very good match.

2. A 90 minute Blue Gender movie is currently under production in Japan and we have the rights for it. For YYH, we do not have those rights for the movies/specials since they were granted many years ago to another company.

3. Blue Gender's dialog will be more of a direct translation. YYH will need to be adjusted for mass market broadcast on a network.

In addition, Planet Namek has also recieved information about the Trunks Saga expansion for the Dragon Ball Z Collectable Card Game.

The Trunks Saga add-on for the Dragon Ball Z CCG has been delayed until March due to major design and production changes. A new card type will be introduced with this expansion, entitled "Mastery" cards.

Quoting the information from the Planet Namek website:
The Trunks Saga release date has been rescheduled. The release, now scheduled for March, has been delayed for several reasons including major design and production changes, which translate into a more exciting game! The Trunks Saga release will feature the debut of the Dragon Ball Z CCG new card designs. DBZ CCG insiders can't say enough good things about the look and style of the new cards. "These cards are going to go a long way to making the game easier and even more fun to play," said Jim Ward, DBZ CCG Game Designer. The new card design of the Trunks Saga will introduce Mastery cards, which will benefit you while you play. If you declare a Tokui-Waza, then Mastery cards stay in play at all times (just like a Main Personality) and cannot be affected or removed. In addition to looking cool, these cards boast new features. The unique design for Dragon Balls, Drills, and Mastery cards allow you to differentiate between these cards with just a glance. The Trunks Saga release will also feature new High Tech Level 2 cards, and a new foil design for commons, uncommons, rare and ultra-rare cards. The Trunks Saga release includes both Starter Decks complete with exclusive DBZ CCG Play Mats, and Booster Packs. The Trunks Saga release also features a revamped rulebook designed to make the game more manageable for players at all levels. "We regret that we've disappointed consumers by continuing to delay the release. We're anxious to get it in their hands! However, play testing and extensive market research have shown us that the changes being made to the Trunks Saga will significantly improve the game," said Chaz Elliott of Score.
