In a not-entirely-unexpected move, ADV has announced the acquisition of nearly every major North American anime company!
HOUSTON, TX, April 1, 2001 - ADV Films, a fully integrated animation licensing and developing company, today announced their acquisition of numerous competitors.
Pioneer Entertainment USA, Digital Manga/Synch-Point, Bandai Entertainment, The Right Stuf International, Media Blasters, and AnimEigo are all now part of ADV Films.
In addition, ADV Films is announcing the change of its corporate name from 'ADV Films' to 'W3 0wn d4 4n1m3 Corporation'. ‘’It's a good name change, really,'' says one ADV spokesman, ‘’I'm sure anime fans will appreciate our expanded anime line and ownership!''
Private investors have also praised the move, claiming it will ‘’Usher in a new era of anime fandom!''.
