Akira Streamline Dub

Pioneer Entertainment Rep Chad Kime has gotten back to ANN with details about the inclusion of the Streamline dub on the Akira DVD as well as some of the other extras that may be included on the DVD.
Regarding the Streamline Dub, Pioneer has plans to include it on the DVD, however there is concern that doing so may force them to reduce the video's bitsream and end up losing the THX certification for this DVD. If this is the case then the Streamline dub will be removed in order to maintain the THX certification.
Unfortunately it is currently looking like they will not be able to include the the Streamline Dub.
Pioneer is still in the process of ironing out the details regarding which extras will be included on the second DVD in the collectors edition. Likely possibilities include Production reports/making of features and the sound files (a making of for the soundtrack).
