Yaoi Manga Strong Seller at Amazon

CPM and Dark Horse Yaoi titles selling very well at Amazon, but not nearly as well at most other bookstores.
ICv2 has posted an article regarding the strong sales of Yaoi titles from Digital Manga and Central Park Media at Amazon.com.
#1) Inuyasha : 2005 Wall Calendar
#2) Desire
#3) Selfish Love: Book 1
#4) Golden Cain
#5) Tsubasa Volume 3 : RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
#6) Selfish Love: Book 2
#7) Only the Ring Finger Knows
#8) .Hack//Legend of the Twilight Vol. 3
#9) Passion Volume 1
#10) Kizuna - Bonds Of Love: Book 1
Titles in bold are Yaoi manga from Central Park Media orDark Horse.
Paradoxically, these Yaoi titles are not selling nearly as well on the bookscan list, which takes data from numerous online and brick and mortar book sellers. The top yaoi title on the bookscan graphic novel list was Tokyopop's Gravitation Volume 8, at #21. Gravitation wasn't even present on Amazon's top 100% manga.
ICv2 has included some speculation as to why there is such a discrepancy between Bookscan's list and Amazon's, as well a suggestion as to how brick and mortar retailers can stop missing out, and cash in on the popularity of Yaoi.
