Chicago Tribune on Shoujo

posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Yesterday (Wednesday, January 5, 2005), The Chicago Tribune newspaper ran an article on the front page of Women News (section 8 of the paper) concerning manga. The name of the article is "Manga Mania," and it talks about the marketing appeal of shoujo manga for girls and women. Along with the article were short synopses of the manga series Revolutionary Girl: Utena, Full Metal Panic!, and Tramps Like Us. The spread also included blurbs on the age ratings of manga (A, Y, T, OT, M) and "How to read manga-style." Thank you to Michelle for this article.
