Oshii's New Film "Superlivemation"

Mamoru Oshii's upcoming movie, Tachigui The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters, will not be animated in a traditional manner. Rather, the movie will be what Oshii calls "superlivemation," a mixture of photography, animation and digital puppetry. We do not know if the movie, or superlivemation, involves any actual drawing of pictures or if it is limited to the manipulation of photographs. Limited information regarding this technique has lead some sources to refer to the movie as live-action and others to refer to it as anime. Thanks to Vitruvius for this item.
