Manifest Madman Panel - Important News!

At almost every anime convention there is Madman panel, and Manifest was no exception, with Dean Prenc and Slyvester Ip giving several announcements, the following are the highlights, so click on the link above to read.

  • Madman will finally be releasing Anime Music Soundtracks (OST). It will initially be a small shipment. The first five soundtracks to be released are the first FLCL OST, Love Hina, Fruits Basket, Neon Genesis Evangelion movie and series. The CD's will be Japanese imports and will cost either $29.95 or $34.95. They will be un-translated but Madman will have track and cover translations available on their website.
  • Studio Gonzo's latest film, Gin-iro no kami no Agito will be released in early 2007 as “Origin – Spirits of the Past” with a theatrical run across Australia. The DVD is expected to be released in mid 2007.
  • The uncut Street Fighter II movie will be released in December.
  • Also with a confirmed December release is the movie “Tree of Palme”.
  • To coincide with the Osamu Tezuka exhibition Madman will be releasing a Special DVD under their Director Label. It will comprise some of his more experimental anime works. The DVD will also have three to five commentaries and an interview with Tezuka himself. However, it will only be available at the exhibition.
  • Licensing rights recently acquired include Black Cat, Ergo Proxy and both Barefoot Gen movies.
