Madman announces release details for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
posted on 2007-06-21 12:03 AESTThe Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will have five volumes in total. Volumes 1-4 will be in Chronological Order, the same ad the US/JPN DVD release. They will be the DVD versions with clean animation and will have a reversible alternate cover based on Japan LE DVD artwork.
The Volume 1 Box (stated as "ULTRA SUPER LIMITED EDITION") will contain the first volume, "Dan Cho" Leader arm band and a redemption voucher. This voucher will only be in the Volume 1 Box and will not be available in any other edition or volume.
After you purchase Vol1 Box, Vol2, Vol3 and Vol4 you will have four different vouchers. You can then redeem all four vouchers for the fifth volume that will contain the entire series in tv broadcast order. You will have three months to send the vouchers back to madman for redemption and there is room for the fifth volume in the box.
Mr Ip does state that this is pending approval from the licensor and that there may be more for the collection
