"Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor (Franz Kafka's Inaka Isha)," a theatrical short by Japanese director Kōji Yamamura, won the Grand Prize in the Short Animation category of this year's Ottawa International Animation Festival, which was held in Ottawa, Canada from September 19 to September 23. The 21-minute film is based on a short story by German author Franz Kafka. Yamamura's 2002 short "Atama-yama" ("Mt.
