posted on by Egan Loo
The free anime newspaper Anican in Japan has announced in a special October 20 issue that Buichi Terasawa's classic science-fiction pulp manga Cobra has a new animation series green-lit for production. The series will mark the 30th anniversary of the manga, which tells the testosterone-driven adventures of a space pirate and his female android partner. Osamu Dezaki (Golgo 13, Black Jack) had previously directed a 1982 movie (released by Urban Vision in English) and television series. Terasawa also created the Goku - Midnight Eye cybernetic detective manga and video series, both of which were release in English. Source: Ultimatum
