Viz Responds to Questions about MÄR, Hikaru no Go DVDs

In response to ANN's query on future DVD releases of the MÄR and Hikaru no Go anime television series, Viz Media's public relations issued the following statement:
"As in the case with all entertainment companies, we are constantly evaluating the titles we release and how they are released, and at this present time these titles are under evaluation. We do however still have the license to produce these titles, and they are still available for viewing on Toonami Jetstream."
Retailers recently removed DVD listings for the MÄR action anime series after the fourth volume, and some retailers had indicated the Hikaru no Go strategy-game anime series will no longer be released on single DVDs. Viz Media has been releasing some titles, such as The Prince of Tennis and Buso Renkin, exclusively in DVD box sets.
