Otomo's Live-Action Mushishi Heads to UK on DVD

Akira director's film adaptation of historical fantasy manga by Yuki Urushibara

DVD Times is reporting that the British film distributor Revolver Entertainment has acquired the United Kingdom release rights to Katsuhiro Ōtomo's live-action film version of Yuki Urushibara's Mushishi manga. Revolver plans to bring its Region 2 DVD out on March 3 at a price of £15.99 (about US$23.12). Revolver does maintain an American office, but it is not clear whether this license extends to North America as well. Del Rey releases Urushibara's original historical fantasy manga in North America, and United Kingdom's Revelation Films and North America's FUNimation Entertainment releases the animated version in their respective regions.
