Dengeki Comic Gao! Confirms End of Manga Mag Wednesday (Updated)

The April issue of MediaWorks' Monthly Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine officially went on sale in Japan on Wednesday and confirmed that it will be the magazine's last issue. The magazine has published 207 issues since December 26, 1992. To mark the occasion, the last issue includes a "gao! THE final!" feaure that looks back on the last 15 years. The magazine already revealed the fate of most of its serialized titles last month, but fans of eight other titles finally learned what would happened to the remaining works on Wednesday.
In the final tally, Mari Matsuzawa's Inukami!, MATSUDA98's Honoka Lv. Up!, Ginyū Shijin's Baccano! 1931 The Grand Punk Railroad, Minoru Murao's Knights, Watashi-tachi no Tamura-kun, D.H.A, Hyaku-me no Kishi, Earise, Gyakusō Shōjo: Owaranai Natsu Yasumi, and Nanatsuiro Drops Pure!! are ending in this last issue. The new joint Tor/Seven Seas imprint had just announced its North American license of Inukami! in January, and Broccoli Books did the same for Honoka. Digital Manga Publishing will publish the first English-language volume of Knights in July.
Densha Otoko's Getsumen to Heiki Mina, Those Who Hunt Elves Returns, Yukanoyu, Vivid ColorS, and Shiage ni Tate Ari already ended in January, with only Mina getting a final one-shot side story in the current issue.
The light-novel-based Allison manga had also ended its Dengeki Comic Gao! run in January, but will restart in the sister magazine, Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh, in March. Similarly, the manga versions of Toradora!, ef - a fairy tale of the two, Venus Versus Virus, Kemeko Deluxe!, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Wagaya no Oinari-sama. ran in Gao's final issue, but will also move to Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh. Not coincidentally, all but one of these rescued titles have tie-in anime projects.

Update Venus Versus Virus and Toradora! will restart in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in the May issue (on sale on March 21), while all the other rescued titles will restart in the June issue (on sale on April 21).
