Tahiko Kimura's romantic comedy manga already adapted for TV

The May issue (on sale on March 26) of Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Wing magazine has announced that Tahiko Kimura's Seto no Hanayome romantic comedy manga will have a OVA project. The manga has already been adapted into a 26-episode television anime series which aired from April to September of last year. The Japanese title, which literally means the "bride of Seto," is a wordplay on the manga heroine's name, Japan's Seto Inland Sea, and a 1972 pop song called "Seto no Hanayome." The heroine, San Seto, is a mermaid who rescues a boy named Nagasumi Michishio from drowning. However, if a human sees a mermaid's true form, both must be killed. Nagasumi and San have to marry and keep San's mermaid form a secret to survive.
