USA Today Booklist, June 2–8

posted on by Mikhail Koulikov
New volume of Bleach, most recent Naruto are both bestsellers

Two manga volumes published by Viz Media placed on USA Today newpaper's list of America's top 150 best-selling books for the week of June 2 to June 8. Volume 29 of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto now holds the #109 spot, down from #96 the previous week. The 23rd and newest volume of Tite Kubo's Bleach enters the list at #121. The list tracks sales in chain and specialty bookstores, book departments of big-box retailers like Wal-Mart, and online, but not in comic shops.

While 23 of the first 29 Naruto volumes have been best-sellers, only seven of the 23 Bleach volumes that have been published in English so far have sold well enough to make it onto the USA Today list.

Update: Last week, ANN reported that there were no manga on the USA Today list for the period of May 26 to June 1. However, during that week, Naruto volume 29 occupied the #96 spot on the list. ANN apologizes for the error.
