Former DreamWorks Exec to Run Viz's Hollywood Office

The Variety entertainment news source has provided more information on Viz Prods., the production company that North American manga publisher Viz Media established in Hollywood last month. The company will be headed by Jason Hoffs (The Terminal), a former Amblin and DreamWorks production executive who also produced for Sony. Hoffs did not directly say which of Viz Media properties are being pitched for potential films. However, he did note that Viz Media's numerous properties from its Japanese corporate parents — such as Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Vampire Knight, and Monster — cater to a diverse range of audiences.
