Karas Director, Mononoke Writer on Floating Moon Feature

Marvin Media LLC, the new venture by former Manga Entertainment CEO Marvin Gleicher, has announced that Gleicher is producing a feature with director Keiichi Satou (Karas creator and animation director on Wolf's Rain, The Big O, Giant Robo) and screenwriter Manabu Ishikawa (Mononoke, Fullmetal Alchemist). Marvin Media describes Floating Moon as "an original environmentally aware sci-fi" feature based on a story by Paul Kanter. The project, which also includes producer Hisashi Oguchi, is targeting a 2010 release.
Gleicher co-founded the North American division of Manga Entertainment in 1994 and presided over the company until 2005. He then served as Vice President of DVD Content Acquisition at Navarre Corporation (Funimation's corporate parent) from 2006 to 2007. Besides Floating Moon, Marvin Media is also producing a 26-episode animated television comedy called High Def for Island Def Jam Music Group.
