FUNimation Streams Dubbed Sgt. Frog "Test Episode"

posted on by Egan Loo
Long-running comedy anime about frog-like alien invaders stranded on Earth

The North American anime distributor FUNimation has posted an English-dubbed "test episode" of the Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunsō) anime series on the YouTube website. According to the video's notes, the company is "beginning work on Sgt. Frog, and we need your input." The anime adapts Mine Yoshizaki's popular comedy manga about frog-like aliens who come to invade Earth, but end up stranded on the planet — and protecting it from other threats. The television series has been running in Japan for over four years, and the fourth film in the franchise will open in Japan next March. FUNimation picked up the rights to Sgt. Frog from Japan's Sojitz and ARM along with about 30 other former A.D. Vision titles.
