Early Ponyo Screening Held in Southern California (Update 2)

ANN has confirmed that an early screening of Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, the latest animated film by Hayao Miyazaki (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away), was held in the Southern Californian suburb of Pasadena on Monday evening. An online Craig's List ad about the screening had included a English dubbing cast list that has been reported by the third-party GhibliWorld.com website, and has since been repeated on other websites. While ANN can confirm the screening took place, we cannot confirm the veracity of the purported cast list. Walt Disney Studios has yet to announce the offical American release date for the film.

Update: GhibliWorld.com has notified ANN that it learned of the cast list through a separate source and also had it partially confirmed by a reliable industry figure.
Update 2: The partially confirmed cast list is as follows: Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Betty White, Frankie Jonas, Noah Cyrus, Cloris Leachman
Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki had previously announced that Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park) are co-producing the American release plans.
