Utawarerumono OVA's Promo Video Streamed in Japan

The Animate.tv Channel website is streaming a 101-second advance promotional video for the Utawarerumono video anime series in narrowband and broadband versions. The series will continue the story of Hakuoro, the man who rises from an amnesiac past in the wilderness to lead a country. The first video story will open with the discovery of an abandoned baby in the land of Tusukuru. Hakuoro and his party get into a series of adventures to uncover the identity of the baby. The first of three volumes of the video anime series will ship on June 5, 2009.
Kenichirou Katsura (ToHeart2, Comic Party: Revolution character designer) will direct the animators at the multimedia studio AQUAPLUS and Chaos Project. Tatsuki Amazuyu (Comic Party, ToHeart2, Pia Carrot e Youkoso!!) lends his original game character designs that Katsura has adapted for anime. ADV Films released the earlier Utawarerumono television series in North America in 2007, and Funimation has since picked up the North American release rights.
