Jumpland Posts Meister Soccer Manga in English Online

Kaji's Meister, Fujimaki's Kuroko no Baske, Nishi's Bokke-san join Death Note, Bakuman.

Weekly Shonen Jump magazine's Jumpland electronic manga website has posted the first chapter of Kimiya Kaji's Meister soccer manga in English, French, Japanese, and German. Meister just debuted in 2009's first issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which was released on December 1. Similarly, Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko no Basuke basketball manga launched in the print version of Weekly Shonen Jump on December 8, and it will go online on December 22. Finally, Yoshiyuki Nishi (Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation) debuted his Bokke-san suspense manga in print on Monday, and his new manga will also go online on December 29.

Since June 30, the Jumpland website has posted chapters of Bakuman., Death Note, Bleach, and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, although some of the titles are no longer available. Meister and the two upcoming manga titles join Bakuman. as the only manga that Shueisha has released online in multiple languages before it has been released in print outside Japan. Bakuman. had begun on August 11 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, only a week before it was made available on Jumpland. Last month, Jumpland began streaming three of the anime specials — Dragon Ball, Tegami Bachi, and the One Piece "prototype" story Romance Dawn — that were screened at this fall's Jump Super Anime Tour events.
