High School Debut's 1-Shot Sequel Manga Next Month

Kazune Kawahara draws bonus Enkoi Debut manga in Deluxe Margaret

Artist Kazune Kawahara will be drawing a one-shot Enkoi Debut (Eternal Love Debut) follow-up manga to her High School Debut shojo romance manga for the March issue of Shueisha's Deluxe Margaret magazine, which ships on January 28. The announcement was made in the current issue, which went on sale this past weekend. The main High School Debut series ended in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine in August, and the 13th and final volume of the manga just shipped this month in Japan. Viz Media will publish the seventh volume of High School Debut in North America next month. Kawahara has been drawing her new Aozora Yell or Yell for the Blue Sky high school band manga in Bessatsu Margaret since August.

The High School Debut manga's story follows a girl who recruits a boy to remake her image and get a boyfriend. Under Yoh's supervision, Haruna transforms from a softball-playing tomboy to a feminine girl. However, Yoh adds one catch to their agreement: Haruna cannot fall in love with Yoh himself. The new Enkoi Debut manga takes place one month after the end of High School Debut. Kawahara drew an earlier one-shot bonus High School Debut story, Osananajimi wa Gakunenchō (My Childhood Friend is the Class President), in Deluxe Margaret in March.

Mao Hashiba (Change!) is also launching a series of romance short stories called Watashi-Nichi-Watashi in the March issue. Yukiko Hiraizumi is debuting her Happy Nightmare: Akuma to Biyaku "devil love comedy" in the same issue as well.
