Code Geass, Maaya Sakamoto Albums Debut at #1, #3

The Code Geass Complete Best album debuted at #1 with 50,090 copies sold on Oricon's weekly top album chart for January 13-19. Also entering the chart was Maaya Sakamoto's Kazeyomi album with 36,061 copies (within two hundred copies of #2, Mr. Children's Supermarket Fantasy).

Ikimono-gakari's My song Your song album slipped two spots #4 with 35,301 more copies sold. It includes the Cat Street drama theme song "Planetarium," the Naruto Shippūden anime opening song "Bluebird," and the "Kaeritaku Natta yo" theme for the Suna-dokei (Sand Chronicles) film. The Exile Ballad Best CD from Exile also dropped from #1 to #5 with 32,850 copies. The new Exile Generation television series just premiered earlier this month with the Examurai Sengoku anime shorts.

Alice Nine returned to the chart at #7 with Vandalize, which includes the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's ending theme "Cross Game," and the live-action Aquarian Age film's theme song "Mirror Ball." Engine Sentai Go-onger also entered the chart by moving 7,790 CDs of the Song Grand Prix complete collection. The Bleach Best Tunes album slipped from #11 to #18 with 5,472 more copies. The Studio Ghibli Songs CD fell from #17 to #23 with 4,923 copies.
