Supernatural "hard-boiled science-fiction action" from Xebec, Noein head writer

The North American distributor FUNimation Entertainment has announced today that it has acquired the RIN - Daughters of Mnemosyne "hard-boiled science-fiction action" television anime series. Director Shigeru Ueda (Elemental Gelade, Tales of Symphonia), screenwriter Hiroshi Ohnogi (Noein, second Fullmetal Alchemist television anime, Aquarion), and the animators at Xebec (Martian Successor Nadesico, Fafner, Heroic Age) created this series about a seemingly ordinary office lady named Rin who is secretly a private investigator with near indestructability, due to supernatural powers. She works with her partner Mimi to solve bizarre mysteries in and around Tokyo.

The six-episode video series was released in Japan last year.
