Crunchyroll to Stream 3 Makoto Shinkai Works on 2/28

The Crunchyroll video-distribution website has announced that it will stream Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters Per Second, Voices of a Distant Star, and The Place Promised in Our Early Days (pictured at right) anime to its members for 24 hours on Saturday to mark Global Shinkai Day. Fans from around the world are holding the event for the first time this year to celebrate the works of this anime auteur. Crunchyroll arranged the streaming with CoMix Wave Films, the producers of Shinkai's works in Japan.
ADV Films released all three of these Shinkai works on DVD in North America, although the 5 Centimeters Per Second DVD is out of print. The other two titles are still available from ADV.
