Kadokawa to Stream Haruhi TV Anime on YouTube in April

The Kadokawa Group will start streaming The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series on its channel on the YouTube video website at the same time that the series re-airs on television in Japan in April. Each episode will be streamed for one week, starting on April 15 at 10:00 p.m., Japan Time. Kadokawa has not announced if the streams will be available outside Japan, or if the episodes will be in other languages besides Japanese.
Tanigawa wrote the original light novels about an eccentric, assertive girl who creates her own school club ("S.O.S. Brigade") to plan and execute her strange antics. America's Little, Brown Books for Young Readers will publish the light novels in English starting this April, while Yen Press is publishing Gaku Tsugano's manga version. The first television anime series aired in Japan in 2006, and Bandai Entertainment released it in North America in 2007.
Two spinoff manga, Puyo's Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yūutsu four-panel gag manga and Eretto's Nyorōn Churuya-san parody manga, are already being adapted into web anime that stream on the same channel on YouTube.
