Tokyopop, Image to Co-Publish Graham's King City

Comic creator Brandon Graham has announced on Wednesday that Tokyopop and Image Comics will publish his King City work in 12 32-page issues starting on August 19. Tokyopop originally published King City in the same graphic novel volume format as many manga in North America, but stopped after only one volume due to its corporate restructuring. The first six new issues will cover the same material as Tokyopop's graphic novel volume, but with extra new material.
Several of Tokyopop's former stable of creators have moved to other publishers, such as Svetlana Chmakova (Yen Press), Becky Cloonan (Vertigo), and Felipe Smith (Kodansha).
