Vampire Hunter D Manga on Kindle, P.S. Triple on iPhone

The North American publisher Digital Manga Publishing (DMP) has announced on Wednesday that it is offering the first volume of Hideyuki Kikuchi and Saiko Takaki's Vampire Hunter D manga on Amazon's Kindle Store for electronic books. Kindle Books can be read on Amazon's own Kindle devices (in three different versions) and Apple's iPhone and iPod touch mobile devices. (The work is also available on Apple's App Store just for the iPhone and iPod touch.) This book is DMP's first manga offering on the Kiddle Store; currently, most of the offerings in the Kindle Store's manga category are works wholly or partially created outside Japan. DMP also publishes Kikuchi's original Vampire Hunter D novels in print form, and it is working with Devil's Due Publishing on a new Vampire Hunter D comic series. DMP released Rieko Yoshihara's Ai no Kusabi: The Space Between Vol. 1: Stranger boys-love novel on the Kindle Store last week.
Micro Magazine has released P.S. Triple, IKa's web manga that anthropomorphizes the Sony PlayStation 3 and other game consoles into moe characters, in English on Apple's App Store for its iPhone and iPod touch devices this week. The title character Triple (Three-san) is trying to succeed as an idol singer against her rivals X-Locks (Hakomaru-san) and Whee! (Wii-san). There is a free "lite" version of the paid manga e-book, and sample comics are available on P.S. Triple's official English blog on the 1UP.com website.
The Japanese mobile phone service provider NTT Docomo has announced on Thursday that its European subsidiary, Docomo Netherlands, has launched Europe's first manga download service for mobile phones in France. On Manga Mode, Bouygues Telecom S.A. customers can download French translations of Naruto, Dragon Ball, Death Note, and other planned titles via services provided by Bitway.
