SMASH calls out for volunteers

On a raw mechanical level, Shiguri may well be the finest animé series that I've come across in years, and there's little question that I will still be revisiting it in just as many years from now.
Nonetheless, Perfect Blue remains a great movie, and it has been treated well here. With this release, Siren may have just done enough to lay their older, dustier image to rest.
The action is there, the story (finally) is there, and yet it's handled in such a way that you are always left with the impression that it could have been much better.
Even with the lower than normal price tag and a few good shorts, it's still hard to recommend this to anyone but the most dedicated of fans.
