posted on by Egan Loo
Story of part-time worker's life at family restaurant in northern Japan

The official pamphlet of Tokyo's Young Gangan Fes. Anime no Okage Summer 2009 event has revealed on Sunday that an anime adaptation of Karino Takatsu's Working!! four-panel manga has been green-lit. The story is set in a family restaurant named Wagnaria!! in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. Sōta works part-time among the restaurant's high-spirited, mysterious, yet cool staffers.

More details on the anime will be provded in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine. The pamphlet lists the official homepage of the anime project as wagnaria.com, but the site has yet to open. The manga has been running in Young Gangan since 2005, and six compiled book volumes have been published. The first three manga chapters are available online.

The same event pamphlet revealed that Hikaru Nakamura's Arakawa Under the Bridge manga is also being animated.
