posted on by Egan Loo
Report says Dragon Ball, 20-30 titles to be sold in 28 regions in Japanese/English

The NHK television network reports on Thursday that the Japanese publishing giant Shueisha will develop a full-fledged e-book business for manga on the Internet in America and other overseas countries next spring. According to NHK's source with Shueisha, the company will offer manga e-books for a fee through a software-distribution site for mobile phones running Microsoft software. This site will be available to 28 regions, including Japan, America, and India. It will offer 20 to 30 titles, such as Dragon Ball, in Japanese and English.

Viz Media, a North American manga publisher whose corporate parents include Shueisha and Shogakukan, has already posted several Shogakukan manga titles on the web for free.
