posted on by Egan Loo

On Saturday, the March issue of Gakken's Megami Magazine (a publication specializing in bishōjo anime, games, and manga) is publishing a feature article in which several Japanese anime companies discuss their prospects for the coming year.

The publisher Kadokawa Shoten is currently planning seven bishōjo anime titles, starting with the second season of Strike Witches which is tentatively slated for this summer. It plans to animate hit titles in light novels, manga, and computer games.

Starchild is planning a number of works that will run exclusively on the satellite/cable channel AT-X, similar to the ongoing Chu-Bra!! anime and the upcoming Kiss×sis television series. It is also planning a new original anime DVD (OAD) project or projects.

Marvelous Entertainment is planning the previously announced Shin Koihime Musō: Otome Tairan, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaō, and Shukufuku no Campanella anime. In addition, it is hoping to work on one or more original works for next year.

Media Factory is planning nine works, with an emphasis on ones based on light novels. Among them are sequels such as the previously announced Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor.
