Record 132,492 Attend Tokyo Anime Fair 2010

The Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) reported a record cumulative attendance of 132,492 during its ninth year. The March 25-28 event's attendance was 2.1% higher than last year's attendance of 129,819. Attendance has been increasing almost consistently every year since TAF's inception in 2001.
The event recorded 13,076 attendees on the March 25, the first business day devoted to industry professionals and press. March 26, the second business day, had 13,887 attendees. 51,073 and 54,456 came on the following two public days of March 27 and March 28, respectively.
In all, the event recorded 129,764 visits by Japanese attendees, 1,204 visits by overseas business attendees, and 1,524 visits by press members. TAF will return to the Tokyo Big Sight convention center from March 24 to March 27 next year.
