The official website of the Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin (Occult Academy) anime series has begun streaming the 100-second Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) 2010 promotional video and the first 15-second television commercial on Friday. The horror and school comedy story revolves around mystery and supernatural cases at Occult Academy, a fortress-like academy city. A-1 Pictures and Hiroyuki Kitakubo (Blood: The Last Vampire, Angel Cop, Robot Carnival) co-created Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin as TV Tokyo and Aniplex's third Anime no Chikara project. Tomohiko Ito (Death Note and Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro assistant director) is directing, and Seishi Minakami (Shigurui: Death Frenzy, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun) is supervising the scripts. The television series will premiere in Japan in July.

The official website for Naruto Shippūden: The Lost Tower film is now streaming a 32-second teaser trailer. The fourth Naruto Shippūden film (and 7th Naruto film overall) will open in Japan on July 31. In this "dimension-crossing" adventure, the title ninja character Naruto will travel back in time and meet a crucial figure in his past. Masahiko Murata is directing as he did for the last film (Naruto Shippūden: Hi no Ishi o Tsugumono). Junki Takegami, the television series script supervisor and the writer of the three previous films, wrote the screenplay.

The Toei Animation studio has launched a one-minute promotional video for its Toei Robot Girls project on Friday. To promote the various works in the studio's anime catalog, the project features three female personifications of the robots in Toei's Gaiking ("Gai-chan"), Magnerobo Ga-Keen ("Gacky"), and Superhuman Combat Team Baratack ("Bara-tan") series. The project was first revealed at last year's TAF. In the backstory created for the project, the Toei Robot Girls Laboratory was established to protect Earth from the threat of space invasion. The laboratory gathered the data from super robots who have protected Earth in the past, and then used that research to imbue "cute girls" with their legendary powers.
