Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Ending Theme Contest Held

posted on by Egan Loo
Up to 12 entries to each win 100,000 yen, get recorded with voice cast

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The official channel for the Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai television anime series has launched on the Nico Nico Douga website with a contest for the anime's ending theme songs. From June 1 to July 31, the channel is accepting original song submissions in any genre. Up to 12 winning entries will be selected in the middle of August and used as the anime's 89-second-long ending themes.

The anime's voice cast will sing the winning songs, and Aniplex will give 100,000 yen (about US$1,100) to each winner. In addition to being used in the television broadcast, the songs will be heard on the Blu-ray/DVD releases, video streams, merchandising, events, promotions, and CDs.

The anime adapts Tsukasa Fushimi's comedy light novel series about the daily life of an ordinary high school boy named Kyōsuke Kōsaka. Kyōsuke's younger sister Kirino is a pretty fashion model — but also a secret otaku of adult games. Kyōsuke is the only person to whom Kirino reveals her hidden obsession and other issues.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Zettai Karen Children, Nyan Koi!) is directing off scripts written by Hideyuki Kurata (Kamichu!, Sasameki Koto, Read or Die). Hiroyuki Oda, an illustrator on the original work, is handling the anime character designs, and AIC is producing the animation. The anime will retain the cast from the novels' drama CD adaptation, such as Ayana Taketatsu (Kirino) and Yūichi Nakamura as (Kyōsuke).
