Nabari no Ou Manga to End in 14th Volume in Japan

Yuhki Kamatani's ninja story released in U.S. by Yen Press, animated by J.C. Staff

Manga creator Yuhki Kamatani confirmed via her Twitter account on Tuesday that she will end her Nabari No Ou modern ninja manga in the 14th volume. The 13th volume just shipped in Japan on June 26, and it ranked #26 among the past week's top-selling manga volumes.

The North American publisher Yen Press launched its Yen Plus magazine in 2008 with the Nabari No Ou manga, and it is publishing the fourth compiled book volume this month. Director Kunihisa Sugishima and J.C. Staff adapted the manga into a television anime series in 2008, and Funimation released the anime in North America last year.

The story revolves around Miharu Rokujō, a seemingly ordinary middle school boy whose body contains a hidden "Omnipotent" (Shinra Banshō) ninja power. Miharu discovers that he is being protected by two Banten ninja — who happen to be his English teacher Kumohira Tobari Durandal and his classmate Kōichi Aizawa. A 14-year-old female samurai named Raimei Shimizu is also watching his back. Meanwhile, the Iga Gray Wolf Pack is hunting Miharu down for his power.
