Animerca Mag, New Strike Witches Dōjinshi in English

Internet researcher Alex Leavitt has made an unofficial announcement that he is working on the English translation and international distribution of the Japanese fanzine Animerca. On the fanzine's website are images from Animerca volumes one and two, while it also mentions the English-language international issue is "Coming soon." Leavitt has an article in the second volume which focuses on how Toonami was an influence on a generation of anime fans in the United States.
Translator Dan Kanemitsu revealed on Monday that he translated The Witches of the Sphinx Vol.2 – The Waterpipe from the Bazaar, a Strike Witches dōjinshi which will first be offered at Tokyo's Comic Market 78 event on Sunday. The dōjinshi's creator Takeshi Nogami (Panzer fräulein ALTESEISEN, Sailor-fuku to Jūsensha) will appear at the event himself, and Takaaki Suzuki, the historical advisor on the Strike Witches anime series, co-created the work. The staffers are still working on international sales for the dōjinshi. Dan Kanemitsu translated the manga and a short story by Suzuki titled, "A Midnight Dream in the Desert," which focuses on The Battle of Fusō Sea. Kanemitsu had also translated the first volume of The Witches of the Sphinx.
A site adminstrator who goes by the name Agilis has launched a collaborative website for legally authorized translations of visual novels. The first project on the site is Waitingforyouguys' Kisaragi no Hogyoku for the Apple iPhone.
