Crunchyroll Adds Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector

The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has announced on Wednesday that it will stream the Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector (Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector) anime series this fall. The anime will be available in all of the Americas, Europe, and Asia every Sunday starting on October 3 — two days after the first stations in Japan premiere the anime, but on the same day that the Tokyo MX station airs it.
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector will be the second Super Robot Taisen television anime to air in Japan; the first was 2006's Super Robot Taisen OG ~Divine Wars~. An original video anime (OVA) project titled Super Robot Wars: Original Generation was released prior to both TV anime series. The Inspector features an all-star team of mechanical designers: Kazutaka Miyatake, Hajime Katoki, Mika Akitaka, Kazue Saitou, Masahiro Yamane, Tsukasa Kotobuki, Masami Ōbari, and others. The show's official website streamed a trailer for the series in August.
Bandai Visual USA acquired the North American license to the first Super Robot Wars television series and OVA in 2007; those licenses were transferred to Bandai Entertainment when it absorbed Bandai Visual USA in 2008.
